Baked vanilla sour cream donuts

Ingredients

non-stick cooking spray

1/2 cup low fat or full fat sour cream do not use no-fat

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup canola oil

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon table salt

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1.5 tablespoons water

1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste optional

Instructions

Spray your donut pan with non stick cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350°F
In a medium mixing bowl, add sour cream, egg, vanilla, canola oil, and sugar and stir until combined
On top of wet ingredients, add flour, baking powder, and salt
Stir the dry ingredients gently together on top and then fold them into the wet ingredients
Fill each donut space 1/2 full with batter
Bake 10-12 minutes or until they are light brown on top
After removing from the oven, let them cool slightly and turn the donuts out on a cooling rack
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, water, and vanilla bean paste (if you have it)
Pour glaze over cooled donuts and allow the glaze to set
