This idea has been in my mind for weeks and I’ve been craving it, so I finally got a chance to make it – Chicken Curry Loaded Hummus is the dish you didn’t know you needed. Trust me, you need it.
When you combine the warm flavors of India with the classic Mediterranean hummus, you get a flavor bomb that is out of this world.
Chicken Curry is a Spice Hoarder
If you cook any type of Indian curry, you probably already have these spices on hand. If not, this dish may be a little pricy. You can buy premade curry mixes, but to me, they don’t taste the same. If you think you might dive deeper into Indian flavors, go get some spices.
I use turmeric for a ton of different dishes, even Mediterranean dishes. I put it in my Spanish rice to make it yellow and it makes plain cauliflower simply gorgeous.
Paprika, cumin, turmeric, and red pepper flakes are staples in my house, so hopefully, they are in yours too. Then we’re left with garam masala and coriander – both very fragrant spices that you will love and worth the purchase.
Make it A Quick Dinner
You can make the hummus ahead of time and cook off the chicken super quick on the stovetop. I love to make my own naan, but sometimes the store-bought will have to suffice. My kids love it and it is pretty tasty with a little zap in the microwave to warm up.
If you’re not sure what to serve with this, try one of these options:
- Green salad and green beans
- Heirloom tomato salad and roasted potato wedges
- Big classic Greek salad
Try Chicken Curry Loaded Hummus when you have a craving for Indian and Mediterranean fusion and let me know what you think in the comments.
